I got my own way of workin'

Well, almost 2 weeks ago, Martin and I decided to stop looking for bunk beds to buy for the kids and just build some ourselves. We bought all the wood and cut it all and then went in to the kids' room to take down Mara's loft tree bed. We discovered that the floor was wet. So, we opened up the wall and discovered a leak in the pipes to the shower. We decided that it would be better to go ahead and renovate their whole room instead of just taking down 1 wall. So, on Sunday, we started the demo. We had it pretty much done that night.

Now, two weeks later, it is so close to being done. Tuesday, I built the bunk beds by myself. They turned out really cool. The room still needs a second coat of wall paint and then all the trim needs to go up. After that, we have some shelving that needs to be painted and put back in there. I am also planning to build a large toy box for Marty with a bench seat on top of it for Mara.

The room was instantly warmer after putting in the insulation and the new windows. The poor kids used to only have 1 outlet in the entire room. Now they have 7.

It won't be too much longer before the kids are back in their room and out of sleeping in my living room.

All of this with my darling 3 month old sweetheart. She is such a darling. She actually falls asleep to the sound of the drill. She is definitely my baby.

Anyway..can't think of much else to say, just wanted to post again....
